1. Mission As a Solutions Engineer – Global e-Invoicing, you will drive the end-to-end technical implementation of ClearTax's global e-invoicing platform for enterprise customers. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers integrate their ERP and billing systems with ClearTax through API and SFTP-based integrations, ensuring seamless data exchange and compliance with country-specific e-invoicing mandates.

You will play a key role in delivering successful customer implementations by bridging the gap between customer requirements, technical integration and regulatory compliance. You will lead customer kick-off meetings, align stakeholders on integration architecture, project scope, responsibilities and timelines, and take projects from initial consultation through testing, production go-live and post-go-live support.

2. Outcomes & Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end customer implementation projects, from kick-off to production go-live,



ensuring alignment on requirements, scope and timelines.
- Guide customers through REST API and SFTP integrations, including technical walkthroughs, data mapping and documentation.
- Gather customer requirements, define acceptance criteria and validate JSON/XML payloads for accurate data exchange.
- Troubleshoot integration issues by reviewing API responses and logs, and coordinate resolutions with customer and engineering teams.
- Drive SIT/UAT, validate end-to-end invoice flows and obtain customer sign-offs before production go-live.
- Manage go-live, post-implementation monitoring and hypercare to ensure stable invoice processing.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering and customer teams while maintaining project documentation, status updates and implementation trackers.

3. Requirements & Competencies

Essential Requirements:

- 1–3 years of experience in Solution Engineering, Technical Consulting, Integration Engineering or Software Implementation, preferably in B2B e-invoicing, tax technology or enterprise SaaS.
- Hands-on understanding of REST APIs, SFTP, JSON/XML, API authentication and data mapping.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and the ability to troubleshoot integration issues using logs and API responses.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Understanding of software implementation processes, including requirement gathering, SIT/UAT and production go-live.
- Experience participating in or leading customer-facing technical discussions and coordinating with multiple stakeholders throughout implementation projects.
- Solid communication, stakeholder management, documentation and project coordination skills.

Good to Have:

- Exposure to global e-invoicing mandates such as ZATCA (KSA), UAE, France, Belgium, Germany or PEPPOL.
- Experience with B2B e-invoicing, GST compliance, tax technology or invoice automation platforms.
- Familiarity with webhooks, callbacks, error handling and retry mechanisms.
