About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Kolkata. This role will lead pre-contract estimation, comprehensive tender document analysis, competitive bid preparation, and post-contract cost management. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in public and private tendering processes, end-to-end bid lifecycle management, and contractor/vendor cost controls.

Key ResponsibilitiesTendering & Bid Management

- Thoroughly review, analyze, and evaluate tender documents, Conditions of Contract (GCC/SCC, FIDIC, CPWD, etc.), technical specifications, and scope of work.
- Identify contractual risks, ambiguities, qualification requirements, and deviations within tender packages.
- Lead end-to-end tender participation, including pre-bid meeting preparations, preparing and raising pre-bid queries, and compiling technical and commercial bid submissions.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), rate analysis, direct/indirect cost estimations, and profitability projections for competitive bidding.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and project execution teams to secure competitive vendor and subcontractor quotes during the tendering phase.

Quantity Surveying & Cost Control
- Perform accurate quantity takeoff from structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
- Monitor project budgets, prepare cash flow projections,



and conduct monthly cost-to-complete analyses.
- Manage interim payment certificates (IPCs), client billing, subcontractor bills, variation claims, and extra-item rate analysis.
- Handle contractual correspondence regarding scope variations, time extensions (EOT), and commercial claims.
- Assist in final account settlements with clients and subcontractors upon project completion.

Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ M.Tech preferred .
- Experience: 8 to 12+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and tendering within construction, civil infrastructure, or commercial projects.
- Tendering Expertise: Proven track record in tender participation (e-procurement portals, government tenders, private bids, and EPC frameworks).
- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Experience with estimation software (e.g., Candy, PlanSwift, or similar) and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is a strong plus.
- Contractual Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian standard specifications (CPWD, PWD, IS Codes) and standard contract conditions (FIDIC, standard EPC forms).
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial acumen with sound written and verbal communication skills.
