We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior O2C Accountant to support our Japan business operations. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) activities, including cash application, accounts receivable, customer account reconciliation, dispute resolution, and month-end close support. The ideal candidate should have solid accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience in O2C/AR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash application and payment posting activities.
- Reconcile customer payments and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor and resolve unapplied, unidentified, and misapplied cash.
- Perform customer account reconciliations and AR analysis.
- Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare operational reports and ensure SLA adherence.
- Drive process improvements and support automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and process guidelines.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Hands-on experience in Cash Application, Customer Reconciliation, and Cash Posting.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting international markets, preferably Japan.
- Knowledge of Japanese business processes will be an added advantage.
