Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in plastic product design, injection molding, and regulated product development to lead the design, development, verification, and validation of complex mechanical systems. The role involves driving product design from concept through manufacturing, applying DFM/DFA principles, managing design documentation, conducting engineering analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant products.



The ideal candidate will have experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices or life sciences, with a strong focus on product reliability, manufacturability, and design control processes.

Essential Skills:

- Strong experience in Injection Molded Plastic Design, including DFM/DFA, material selection, tooling interaction, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Hands-on expertise in SolidWorks or Creo, with strong knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, engineering drawings, and BOM management.
- Experience in regulated industries such as Medical Devices and Life Sciences, with knowledge of ISO 13485, 21 CFR, GMP/QMS, and Design Control processes.
- Proven experience in Design Verification & Validation (V&V;), DVP/DVP&R; development, and product testing activities.
- Solid analytical skills with experience in MSA, SPC, Gage R&R;, DFSS, Minitab, and data-driven problem-solving.
- Experience supporting mold validation, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), DOE, and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and drive product development from concept through production.
- Excellent technical communication, problem-solving, and engineering decision-making skills.
