About the Role

This role offers an opportunity to work at the heart of Powertrain Manufacturing, leading quality assurance initiatives, driving problem solving, improving manufacturing quality systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Manufacturing Excellence

- Lead quality assurance activities for Engine Assembly operations.
- Drive resolution of manufacturing, testing, customer, and field quality concerns.
- Monitor and improve quality gate performance through data-driven analysis.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Review quality trends, rejection patterns, and process capability indicators.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, control plans, and manufacturing processes.
- Drive Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) audits and process audits across the assembly line.
- Support engine performance validation through audit-based testing activities.
- Ensure adherence to IATF 16949 requirements and quality management systems.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Vendor Quality, and Planning teams to resolve quality issues.
- Act as a key interface for next-customer and field quality concerns.
- Support investigation and closure of dealership and customer-reported issues.
- Drive quality improvements through proactive feedback and feedforward mechanisms.

Continuous Improvement

- Lead defect reduction and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive Statistical Process Control (SPC) and shop-floor quality discipline.
- Facilitate Kaizen, Team Quality Circles (TQC), and problem-solving projects.
- Support achievement of SQDCME objectives across the quality function.





What We're Looking For

Education

- Fulltime regular B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience

- Experience in Engine Assembly, Powertrain Manufacturing, Manufacturing Quality, or Product Quality within the automotive industry.
