Role & responsibilities

- Check bank details, IFSC codes, and payment amounts against original invoices or system records.
- Review and transparent pending payout queues within set daily or hourly time limits.
- Track failed, bounced, or delayed payouts and coordinate with finance or banking partners to resolve them.
- Maintain clean, verifiable records of all approved and rejected payouts for internal and external audits.
- Process payouts through the bank portal or payment gateway as per approved payment schedules and authorisation limits.
- Re-initiate failed or returned payments after correcting details, and confirm successful credit with the payee.
- Perform daily reconciliation of payouts against bank statements and the books of accounts (Tally Prime), and resolve mismatches.
- Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports on payouts processed, pending, failed, and rejected.
- Respond to payee and vendor queries on payment status, and share payment confirmations or UTR details when required.
- Ensure all payouts follow company policies,



approval matrices, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams (such as HR, Sales, and Operations) to obtain missing details or documents needed for payment processing.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of bank and financial data, and support internal control and audit processes.
- Suggest improvements to reduce payout errors, delays, and rejections.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience with payment or payout processing and bank reconciliation.
- Knowledge of vendor management best practices.
- Experience with accounts payable automation tools.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles and practices, particularly related to accounts payable.
