- Obtain and negotiate ocean freight rates from shipping lines, co-loaders, overseas agents, and NVOCCs.
- Handle pricing for both FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments.
- Prepare and provide competitive ocean freight quotations to customers and the sales team.
- Coordinate with shipping lines for spot rates, contract rates, and special rates.
- Maintain and update ocean freight rate sheets and pricing databases.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitive rates.
- Coordinate with the sales, operations, and customer service teams for pricing requirements.
- Follow up on quotations and support the sales team in converting business opportunities.
- Check local charges, origin and destination charges, THC, documentation charges, and other applicable fees.
- Maintain positive relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, and service providers.
- Ensure timely submission of quotations and maintain proper pricing records.
- Monitor rate validity, free days, transit time, and vessel schedules.
