About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Incharge to manage the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions at our manufacturing facility.

The candidate will be responsible for manufacturing quality control, inspections, quality systems, ISO documentation, audits, customer complaints and continuous improvement. The role also involves independently handling quality activities and supervising the existing QA/QC team.

Reports To: Factory Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Management and Compliance

- Manage and maintain the factory Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and applicable customer and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality standards, specifications, SOPs and work instructions.

2. Quality Control and Shop-Floor Supervision

- Ensure proper inspection of incoming materials, in-process production and finished goods.
- Review inspection reports, testing records and quality deviations.
- Ensure non-conforming materials are identified, segregated and properly handled.
- Supervise and guide the QA/QC team.

3. Audits and Documentation

- Plan and coordinate internal, customer, supplier and certification audits.
- Maintain audit records and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Maintain quality documentation, test reports, calibration certificates and customer quality records.

4. CAPA, RCA and Customer Complaints

- Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5-Why analysis.
- Investigate quality failures and recurring defects.
- Handle customer complaints, rejected materials and returned goods.
- Coordinate corrective actions with Production, Purchase, Stores and Dispatch teams.

5. Testing and Calibration





- Maintain calibration schedules and certificates for measuring and testing equipment.
- Coordinate external laboratory testing, including FTIR, TGA, DSC, SST, ELV and other customer-required tests.
- Maintain relevant laboratory and NABL-related records.

6. Quality Improvement and Reporting

- Monitor rejection, rework and customer complaint trends.
- Conduct quality training for production and operational staff.
- Support process improvements and departmental SOP updates.
- Submit regular Quality MIS and pending-action reports to Factory Management.

Additional Responsibilities
- Support new product and process trials.
- Participate in customer and vendor quality meetings.
- Coordinate special inspections and testing requirements.
- Support 5S activities and factory audits.
- Assist in supplier quality development.

Education and Experience
- Diploma / B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemistry, Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer, Production or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in quality systems, shop-floor quality control, audits, documentation and CAPA/RCA.
- Experience supervising or guiding a QA/QC team.

Required Skills
- Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems.
- Robust knowledge of QA/QC processes.
- Experience in CAPA, RCA and 5-Why analysis.
- Experience handling internal, customer and supplier audits.
- Knowledge of calibration and non-conformance management.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good problem-solving and supervisory abilities.
- Ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments.

Preferred Industry Background Candidates from the following manufacturing industries will be preferred:
- Adhesive tapes
- Coating and converting
- Flexible packaging
- Films and plastics
- Rubber and labels
- Lamination and printing
- Chemicals and automotive ancillary industries

Note: Experience in adhesive-tape manufacturing will be an advantage but is not compulsory. Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per year
