Job Overview
We are looking for Purchase Engineers with hands-on experience in procurement for machinery or equipment manufacturing companies.
The candidate will be responsible for sourcing engineering components, raw materials and machine parts, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase orders and ensuring timely material availability for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle purchase requisitions and procurement of raw materials, machine components, engineering parts and other production requirements.
- Identify, develop and manage vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders through ERP systems.
- Coordinate with production, stores and engineering teams for material requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance, material quality and delivery timelines.
- Conduct market research and price comparisons to optimize procurement costs.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation and procurement reports.
- Track inventory requirements and ensure timely material availability.
Key: Candidates with relevant machinery or equipment manufacturing procurement experience will be preferred over candidates with general trading, retail or unrelated procurement experience
