Job OverviewHVTI Private Limited is looking for a technically proficient and customer-oriented Partial Discharge (PD) Expert to drive the marketing, promotion, technical demonstrations and sales support of our Partial Discharge Testing and Condition Monitoring product portfolio.

The candidate will be responsible for developing technical understanding of PD testing technologies, engaging with customers across the power and electrical industries, conducting on-site product demonstrations, and providing technical support during customer evaluations and business development activities.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, communication skills, field experience and the ability to promote advanced electrical testing and condition monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities1.

Technical

Expertise &

• Product Demonstrations

- Develop in-depth knowledge of HVTI's Partial Discharge Testing and Condition Monitoring product portfolio.
- Conduct product demonstrations at customer facilities, substations, power plants, manufacturing facilities and other industrial locations.
- Demonstrate the operation and applications of PD testing equipment, including AE-150, XDP-II, PD-LT, ULD-40 and PD Annunciator systems.
- Explain PD measurement techniques, testing procedures, results and their practical significance to customers.
- Assist customers in understanding equipment functionality, applications and technical specifications.
- Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and basic technical training wherever required.

Marketing &

• Business Development
- Promote HVTI's Partial Discharge Testing and Condition Monitoring solutions to utilities, power generation companies, transmission and distribution companies, EPC contractors and industrial customers.




- Identify potential customers and current business opportunities for PD testing equipment and online monitoring systems.
- Conduct technical presentations, product briefings and customer meetings.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, technical seminars and customer visits.
- Work closely with the sales team to generate enquiries, develop leads and convert opportunities into business.
- Prepare technical proposals, product presentations, quotations and other marketing collateral.

Field

Activities &

• Customer Engagement
- Undertake regular domestic travel for customer visits, product demonstrations and technical meetings.
- Conduct on-site demonstrations and assist in customer evaluation and acceptance of PD testing equipment.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with customers, consultants and industry professionals.
- Coordinate with the internal engineering and R&D; teams to address customer queries and technical requirements.

Technical

Support &

• Documentation
- Prepare demonstration reports, site visit reports and technical feedback.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications, compliance documents and tender-related technical submissions.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance to customers.
- Collect field feedback and communicate product improvement requirements to the R&D; team.
- Stay updated with developments in Partial Discharge testing, electrical asset diagnostics and condition monitoring technologies.

Required Qualifications & • Skills




- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & • Electronics Engineering.

- 2–5 years of experience in Partial Discharge testing, electrical testing, condition monitoring or related fields is preferred.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and Partial Discharge testing principles.
- Knowledge of PD measurement techniques, diagnostic methods and interpretation of test results.
- Experience handling electrical testing instruments and conducting technical demonstrations.
- Good communication, presentation and customer interaction skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits and field demonstrations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of technical presentations and reports.

Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with Partial Discharge testing of transformers, switchgear, cables and other high-voltage electrical assets.
- Familiarity with IEC standards and relevant industry practices for Partial Discharge measurement.
- Experience with online PD monitoring systems and condition monitoring solutions.
- Previous experience working with power utilities, power plants, electrical equipment manufacturers, testing laboratories or electrical testing companies.
- Experience in technical sales, product marketing or application engineering will be an added advantage.
