AsaProductDevelopmentEngineeru2013ConnectorDesign, you will play a key role in developing innovative connector and connectivity solutions for industrial, automotive, and high-speed communication applications. You will lead product design activities from concept through production launch, collaborating with global cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, manufacturable,andcustomer-focusedsolutions.Thisroleoffersanopportunitytocombinetechnicalexpertise,problem-solving,andcustomerengagementwhilecontributingtoMolex'snextgenerationofelectronicproducts.

You will be part of the Connector Design Engineering team within Molex's Global Product Development organization.Ourteampartnerscloselywithcustomers,manufacturing,quality,reliability,sales,andglobalengineeringteamstocreateinnovativeconnectivitysolutionsthatenableamoreconnectedworld.

WhatYouWillDo

- Leadthedesignanddevelopmentofconnectors,cableassemblies,andnetworkingproductsusedinindustrialandhigh-speedcommunicationapplications.

- Translatecustomerrequirementsintotechnicalsolutionsbyestablishingengineeringassumptions,definingproductrequirements,andsupportingprojectplanningactivities.

- Driveproductdevelopmentactivitiesthroughallphasesofthedevelopmentlifecycle,ensuringtimelyandsuccessfulproductlaunches.

- DeveloprobustdesignsthroughDFMEA,riskassessmentmethodologies,validationplanning,andengineeringanalysis.

- Collaborate withcustomersandcross-functionalteamstoprovidetechnicalguidance,resolvedesignchallenges,andsupportsuccessfulprojectexecution.

- Createandreviewengineeringdocumentation,manufacturingdrawings,toleranceanalyses,anddesignpackagestoensureproductqualityandmanufacturability.

- Supportprototypedevelopment,productvalidation,qualificationtesting,andanalysisoftestresultstoensureproductreliabilityandperformance.





- Partnerwithmanufacturing,quality,suppliers,andglobalengineeringteamstooptimizedesigns,improveprocesses,andsupportnewproductintroductionactivities.

- Leadtechnicaldiscussions,designreviews,andcustomerpresentationswhileeffectivelycommunicatingprojectstatus,risks,andrecommendations.

- Drivecontinuousimprovementinitiativesforexistingproducts,supportissueresolution,andcontributetolong-termproductsustainability.

- Applystructuredproblem-solvingmethodologiestoidentifyrootcauses,implementcorrectiveactions,andimproveproductperformance.

- Contributetoengineeringexcellencebysharingknowledge,mentoringjuniorengineers,andpromotingbestpracticesinproductdesignanddevelopment.

WhoYouAre(BasicQualifications)

- Bachelor'sdegreeinMechanicalEngineering,ElectricalEngineering,ManufacturingEngineering,orarelatedengineeringdiscipline.

- 6 yearsofexperienceinconnectordesign,productdesign,ornewproductdevelopmentwithintheelectronics,industrial,automotive,orrelatedindustries.

- Experiencedesigningproductsthatincorporateplastic,sheetmetal,cast,andplatedcomponents.

- Proficiencyin3DCADmodelingand2Ddraftingtools,preferablySiemensNX(UGNX).

- ExperiencewithproductdevelopmentmethodologiesincludingDFMEA,GD&T;,tolerancestack-upanalysis,validationplanning,andriskassessment.

- Experienceworkingwithcross-functionalteamstodevelopandlaunchnewproducts.

- Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytocommunicatetechnicalconceptseffectively.

- Experiencewithindustrialcommunication,networking,high-speedconnectivity,orautomotiveconnectorproducts.

- KnowledgeofAPQP,PPAP,DesignforManufacturing(DFM),andDesignforAssembly(DFA)principles.





- ExperienceinterpretingFEAresultsandapplyingengineeringanalysestoproductdevelopmentdecisions.

- Familiaritywithproblem-solvingmethodologiessuchas8D,FishboneAnalysis,andRootCauseAnalysis.

- KnowledgeofindustrystandardsincludingIEC,UL,ISO,andrelatedregulatoryrequirements.

- Experiencedevelopingvalidationplansandanalyzingqualificationandreliabilitytestdata.

- ExposuretoTeamcenter,Polarion,orsimilarPLMandrequirementsmanagementsystems.

- Experienceworkingdirectlywithcustomers,suppliers,andglobalengineeringteamsonnewproductdevelopmentprograms.

- Demonstratedabilitytomentorengineersandinfluencetechnicaldecisionsacrosscross-functionalteams.
