Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Primary Computer Science Teacher to deliver the Cambridge Primary Computing curriculum. The ideal candidate should have a robust foundation in computer science, experience in teaching young learners, and the ability to introduce computational thinking, coding, and digital literacy through interactive and practical learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary curriculum.
- Introduce students to basic computer concepts, hardware, software, and digital literacy.
- Teach computational thinking, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and sequencing.
- Introduce age-appropriate coding and programming concepts using Scratch, Blockly, or similar platforms.
- Develop students' understanding of algorithms, patterns, and simple programming.
- Teach safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology.
- Conduct hands-on activities, practical sessions, and technology-based projects.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, and digital learning resources.
- Assess students' learning progress through practical tasks, projects, and classroom activities.
- Maintain effective classroom management in the computer lab.
- Ensure proper usage, safety, and maintenance of computer lab resources.
- Provide additional academic support to students where required.




- Collaborate with academic coordinators and fellow teachers to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in school events, technology exhibitions, and professional development programs.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Applications or a relevant discipline.
- B.Ed. preferred.
- Relevant teaching certifications or experience in the Cambridge curriculum will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 25 years of experience in teaching Computer Science at the primary level preferred.
- Experience in Cambridge Primary or an international school environment is preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and relevant teaching qualifications may also be considered.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic Computer Science concepts.
- Knowledge of coding platforms such as Scratch, Blockly, or similar tools.
- Understanding of computational thinking and digital literacy.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for young learners.
- Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
