Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Podcast Video Editor.

The Podcast Video

Editor will be responsible for editing podcast video episodes, including cutting, trimming, and arranging footage to create engaging, polished final content. Day-to-day tasks include syncing audio and video, adding graphics, captions, and basic animations, adjusting sound levels, and ensuring visual consistency across episodes. The role also involves collaborating with producers and content strategists, following brand guidelines, and preparing final files optimized for multiple distribution platforms.

The Podcast Video

Editor is expected to manage deadlines, organize assets, and maintain clear communication with the team in a remote work setting.

Qualifications





- Strong video editing skills using professional tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and experience editing podcast or long-form video content.
- Skills in audio editing and enhancement, including noise reduction, level balancing, and syncing high-quality audio with video.
- Ability to create and integrate visual elements such as lower thirds, overlays, transitions, and basic motion graphics that align with brand guidelines.
- Experience preparing and exporting video content for digital platforms (e.g., YouTube, social media, podcast platforms) with appropriate formats and aspect ratios.
- Strong organizational skills, including file management, version control, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a remote setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take feedback, collaborate with creative and marketing teams, and adjust edits accordingly.
- Familiarity with content marketing or growth-focused media strategies is beneficial.
- Previous experience in podcast production, digital media, or marketing is preferred; a relevant portfolio demonstrating video editing work is required.
