- Lead DD and GFC production of plumbing (PHE) and fire protection packages for the Hospital, Medical College, Meditel, Residential, Central Utility Plant (CUP) and allied facilities.
- Review and validate the consultants' design basis, water demand and storage calculations, drainage and hydraulic calculations, pump sizing and system schematics.
- Ensure healthcare-specific plumbing requirements are met:

– Water quality and treatment: WTP, softening, RO and dialysis-grade water

– Hot water systems with Legionella control

– Separate drainage for lab, radioactive and chemical effluents

– Effluent treatment (ETP) and sewage treatment (STP)

– Hands-free and infection-control sanitary fixtures

– Redundant water supply for critical areas

- Ensure healthcare-specific fire protection requirements are met:

– Wet risers, hydrants and sprinklers

– Clean-agent / gas suppression for data, imaging and electrical rooms

– Kitchen suppression and fire pump rooms

– Support for compartmentation and horizontal evacuation strategies in clinical areas

- Drive production of GFC drawings: water supply, drainage, storm water, rainwater harvesting, fire protection layouts, pump room and tank layouts, schematics, risers,



schedules and installation details.
- Lead value engineering of tank sizing, pumping systems, pipe materials and routing, water recycling and reuse, and fire system configuration. The aim is to cut capital and operating costs without compromising safety or hygiene.
- Coordinate plumbing and fire design with Architecture, Structure, HVAC, Electrical, ELV/Fire Alarm, Medical Gas, Medical Equipment and Interiors. This covers shafts, sleeves, slopes and ceiling voids, with clashes resolved through BIM coordination.
- Integrate water conservation and sustainability requirements (zero liquid discharge where applicable, IGBC/LEED/GRIHA).
- Coordinate technical inputs for Fire NOC and other statutory approvals with the Liaison Consultant.
- Prepare and review specifications, BOQ inputs, equipment data sheets and tender documents.
- Review consultant DD and GFC submissions for completeness, code compliance, constructability and drawing quality.
- Support site teams with RFIs, shop drawing and submittal reviews, design clarifications, and testing & commissioning requirements.
