Photo and Visual Editors

Role Overview

We are looking for detail-oriented Photo and Visual Editors to evaluate, select, and refine visual assets. In this role, you will review image collections, identify the strongest visuals for designated use cases, assess and correct technical attributes, and provide clear written reasoning for your editorial choices.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced photo editors, picture editors, retouchers, or visual producers who are comfortable making objective quality judgments and hands-on edits.

Scope of Work

- Evaluate sets of images and select the most compelling visual for specific project goals.
- Assess core technical parameters, including exposure, sharpness, focus, color balance, noise levels, and framing/composition.
- Identify and flag manipulated or artificially altered images that distort factual depiction.
- Verify visual integrity to ensure captions, alt-text, and descriptive metadata match what the image represents.
- Provide clear, concise written justifications detailing the rationale behind editorial choices and selections.
- Perform necessary retouching and technical color/exposure corrections aligned with client briefs.

Required Qualifications & Skills




- Skilled Experience: Proven background working professionally as a photo editor, picture editor, retoucher, or creative photo producer.
- Tool Proficiency: Daily working proficiency with industry-standard editing platforms, specifically Adobe Photoshop , Adobe Lightroom , or Capture One .
- Audience Delivery: Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering visual assets for publication across web, print, social media, or commercial client campaigns.
- Critical Eye: Ability to critically break down why an image succeeds or fails both aesthetically and technically.
- Communication: Strong, articulate written English skills to document editorial decisions clearly.
