The PGT Political Science will be responsible for teaching Political Science to Classes XI and XII, developing students' understanding of political theories, Indian Constitution, political institutions, international relations, and contemporary political developments. The teacher should promote critical thinking, analytical skills, democratic values, and informed citizenship through interactive and engaging teaching methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Political Science lessons for Classes XI and XII as per CBSE curriculum and school guidelines.

- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and presentations.

- Teach topics related to political theory, Indian Constitution, political institutions, governance, and international relations.

- Encourage students to critically analyze political events, policies, institutions, and contemporary issues.

- Use interactive teaching methods such as debates, group discussions, case studies, projects, role plays, and presentations.

- Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations through regular assessments, revision sessions, and practice papers.

- Evaluate students' performance through tests, assignments, projects, and classroom participation.

- Provide individual academic support and guidance to students based on their learning needs.

- Promote democratic values, constitutional principles, equality, justice, secularism, and responsible citizenship.

- Stay updated with current affairs, political developments, educational trends, and curriculum changes.

- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, assessment results, and student performance.

- Conduct remedial classes and enrichment activities to enhance student learning outcomes.

- Actively participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings,



workshops, training sessions, and school events.

- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding students' academic progress and development.

- Perform other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the school management.

Qualifications & Experience

- Master's Degree in Political Science from a recognized university.

- B.Ed. degree is mandatory/preferred as per CBSE and applicable recruitment norms.

- CTET/STET qualification, if applicable, will be an added advantage.

- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level preferred.

- Thorough knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and examination pattern.

- Solid command over the subject and excellent communication skills.
