Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated PGT Political Science Teacher for a reputed boarding school in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Political Science to senior secondary students, delivering engaging and effective classroom instruction, and supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes.

Candidates with prior experience working in boarding or residential schools will be preferred. Female candidates will be given preference. The ideal candidate should be academically strong, student-oriented, disciplined, and comfortable working in a residential school environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Political Science to Classes XI and XII as per the prescribed CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, worksheets, and assessments.
- Explain concepts related to political theory, Indian Constitution, governance, political institutions, international relations, and contemporary political developments.
- Ensure effective classroom delivery through interactive teaching methods and student engagement.
- Assess students’ academic performance through tests, examinations, assignments, and projects.
- Provide academic guidance, remedial support,



and individual attention to students wherever required.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, assessments, and performance.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations and ensure syllabus completion within the prescribed timelines.
- Participate in school meetings, academic planning, workshops, and other institutional activities.
- Coordinate with colleagues, academic leadership, and parents regarding students’ academic progress.
- Contribute to the overall development, discipline, and well-being of students.
- Be willing to work in a boarding / residential school environment and participate in school-related duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications
- M.A. in Political Science – Mandatory
- B.Ed. – Mandatory
- 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage senior secondary students.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior experience working in a CBSE boarding / residential school is highly preferred.
- Female candidates will be preferred.
- Experience teaching Political Science to Classes XI and XII.
- Familiarity with CBSE curriculum, assessment practices, and Board examination preparation.




- Ability to maintain discipline and provide academic as well as pastoral support in a residential school setting.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days will be strongly preferred.

Salary & Advantages
- Monthly Salary: 40,000 – 50,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and caliber.

Special Condition for Candidates Serving a Notice Period of More Than 15 Days:

Candidates who are required to serve a notice period exceeding 15 days will be required to submit their original Class X and Class XII certificates to the school at the time of signing the Letter of Intent (LOI), until their actual date of joining.

- The certificates will be submitted against a formal acknowledgement / receipt issued by the school.
- The acknowledgement / receipt will serve as proof of certificate submission.
- The certificates will be retained by the school until the candidate joins, as per the agreed condition.

Candidates must be willing to comply with this condition before proceeding with the LOI.
