Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced PCBA Cost Engineer with strong expertise in PCB/PCBA Should Costing, Cost Reduction, Component Engineering, Supplier Management, and Manufacturing Processes. The role involves performing detailed cost analysis of electronic assemblies, benchmarking, supplier negotiations, component lifecycle management, and driving cost optimization initiatives across products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with PCBA manufacturing processes, APRIORI Should Costing Tool, and engineering change management in a client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform PCBA Should Costing at component, assembly, and product levels using industry-standard methodologies and tools.
- Conduct teardown analysis, benchmarking,



and competitive cost assessments for electronic products.
- Analyze PCBA spend data and perform Pareto Analysis to identify high-cost products and cost optimization opportunities.
- Estimate costs for electronic components
- Drive supplier cost negotiations and support alternate sourcing initiatives.
- Manage component engineering activities and support lifecycle management.
- Handle component obsolescence management from risk identification through implementation.
- Support engineering change management and cost impact analysis.
- Develop cost reduction proposals through Alternate sourcing, Design optimization, Value engineering, Manufacturing process improvements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement approved cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare project timelines, cost estimates, and technical reports for customers and stakeholders.

Essential Skills:

- Hands-on experience with APRIORI Should Costing Tool for PCBA cost analysis
- Engineering Project Management & Change Management
- PCBA Should Costing from component level to complete system-level costing
- Strong knowledge of PCB Manufacturing & Assembly Processes
- Experience in CAM, Process Flow Creation, Process Control, Quality Assurance, Material Selection, and Production Planning
- Expertise in Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFSS, DFM & DFA
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and team collaboration skills
