Description

• Perform vision testing, refraction, and visual acuity assessments for patients during MMU camps.

- Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment including digital ophthalmoscope, tonometer, and otoscope.
- Conduct screening for refractive errors, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataract, and other eye conditions.
- Identify and refer cases requiring advanced ophthalmic intervention to higher health facilities.




- Maintain records of beneficiaries availing eye health services and report on the MMU portal.
- Assist in fitting/dispensing spectacles for correctable refractive errors where applicable.
- Conduct eye health education and awareness sessions for community members.
- Ensure proper calibration and upkeep of all ophthalmic equipment in the MMU.
- Coordinate with district eye care programmes as directed by the Medical Officer.
