The Role: Operations Lead

We're looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial Operations Lead to build and scale end-to-end marketplace operations for Scapia Store.

You'll own the entire operational lifecycle from inventory and order management to fulfilment, logistics, returns, and seller and customer experience. Your goal is to build a reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient operations engine that delivers exceptional experiences for customers and sellers.

This is a build-and-operate role, where you'll design processes, manage daily execution, solve complex operational problems, and build capabilities that scale with the business.





Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain & Fulfilment

- Design and optimise fulfilment networks across seller warehouses, third-party warehouses, and logistics partners.
- Own inventory management, order routing, picking, packing, dispatch, and delivery processes.
- Drive improvements in fulfilment speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

2. Order Management & Customer Experience

- Own end-to-end order execution and build a robust operational control tower.
- Monitor order health, seller SLAs, delivery breaches, cancellations, and exceptions.
- Proactively resolve operational bottlenecks and improve customer experience.

3. Seller Operations

- Build scalable seller operating processes covering inventory readiness, order fulfilment, dispatch, and returns.
- Define and manage seller SLAs, performance scorecards, and operational standards.
- Drive seller performance and deliver a seamless seller experience.

4. Logistics, Returns & Partner Management

- Own first-mile, last-mile, and reverse logistics operations.
- Manage third-party logistics, warehousing, and order management partners, including selection, negotiations, and performance.
- Optimise returns, quality checks, claims, and liquidation processes.
- Own fulfilment costs,



partner rate cards, and operational unit economics.

5. Operational Excellence & Scale

- Build dashboards and operating reviews to track SLAs, breaches, fulfilment performance, and costs.
- Drive root-cause analysis, process improvements, and automation to eliminate recurring issues.
- Partner with product, engineering, business, and customer experience teams to build scalable operational systems.

What You'll Need

- 10+ years of experience in marketplace operations, e-commerce operations, supply chain, or fulfilment, preferably in a fast-growing consumer technology company.
- Strong understanding of the e-commerce order lifecycle, seller operations, warehousing, logistics, and returns.
- Experience managing third-party partners, sellers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proven ability to both build operational processes from scratch and manage day-to-day execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive deep into data, identify root causes, and drive improvements.
- Ability to balance customer experience, operational performance, and cost efficiency.
- High ownership, attention to detail, bias for action, and comfort with ambiguity in a 0-to-1 environment.
