Executive - Prototype Production & Warehouse Precious Material Accounting

Department: New Product Introduction

Level: L3/L4

Location: Mumbai (Z-Studio)

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Jewellery Manufacturing

Experience: 1 to 3 years in Studded Jewellery Manufacturing

Objective To ensure effective coordination in Production and control of materials, inventory, karigar workflow and related operational processes within Z-Studio, enabling smooth prototype development, material availability, traceability and timely movement of materials and products.

The role will act as a key coordination point for Prototype production ,material planning, inventory control, documentation, karigaar-related processes and operational discipline ascertainment of Process losses, with a strong focus on accuracy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material & Inventory Management

- Manage day-to-day inventory of materials and stock associated with Z-Studio activities.
- Ensure systematic recording and tracking of material receipts, issues, transfers and returns.
- Maintain material accountability and support regular reconciliation of physical and recorded stock.
- Ensure appropriate control and custody of valuable materials and secure storage areas.

2. Prototype-Material Planning & Procurement Coordination

- Identify material requirements based on prototype and product development needs.
- Coordinate ordering of diamonds and other materials required for Z-Studio prototypes.
- Monitor material requirements and availability to support timely execution of work.
- Manage ordering and replenishment of workshop consumables and stationery as required.

3. Karigaar & Downstream Workflow Coordination

- Maintain relevant records of karigar allocation, material issues, work status and material returns.
- Track movement of work and materials to support smooth workflow and timely completion.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and accountability throughout the karigar workflow and controlling the process losses.





4. BOM & Process Data Management

- Maintain and update relevant BOM and material-related data.
- Ensure alignment between approved requirements, material issued and material consumed wherever applicable.
- Maintain accurate operational records required for tracking and reconciliation.

5. In-warding & Dispatch Control

- Coordinate the in-warding of materials and ensure appropriate documentation and recording.
- Manage material/product dispatches with proper records and traceability.
- Ensure movement of materials and products follows defined processes and controls.

6. Audit & Control

- Conduct periodic physical stock checks and surprise audits as required.
- Identify discrepancies, gaps or exceptions and ensure appropriate follow-up and closure.
- Maintain records related to material accountability, karigar transactions and stock movements.
- Support effective control over valuable materials, including secure/key management.

7. Dust & Recovery Material Management

- Ensure systematic collection and recording of production dust and recovery material.
- Coordinate secure handling and dispatch of collected dust as per the defined process.
- Maintain appropriate records for traceability and accountability.

Additional Responsibilities The role may be assigned additional responsibilities, processes or operational objectives from time to time, based on evolving business requirements, Z-Studio operations and organizational priorities.
