Role Description The New Product Development (NPD) Head is a full-time, in office role based in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The NPD Head will lead end-to-end product development initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, quality standards, and business objectives. The role includes driving R&D; activities, defining product specifications, coordinating prototypes, and overseeing validation and testing for motion control components and assemblies.

Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing cross-functional project teams, collaborating with manufacturing, quality,



and sales to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness, and monitoring timelines and budgets for NPD projects. The NPD Head will also analyze market trends, identify opportunities for new products or improvements, establish robust development processes, and report progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Product Development and Research and Development (R&D;) skills, with experience in end-to-end NPD processes within automotive or precision engineering sectors.
- Candidates should possess proven Project Management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and cross-functional coordination for multiple concurrent projects.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret technical data, assess feasibility, optimize designs, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, customers, and suppliers, and for preparing clear technical and project documentation.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automotive components, motion control systems, and knowledge of IATF 16949 and other quality management standards.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including team mentoring, stakeholder management, and driving continuous improvement in NPD processes.
