- Develop the clinical brief, functional program, bed mix, department-wise area program and Schedule of Accommodation (SoA) together with management and operators.
- Define the clinical service model, departmental zoning, stacking and adjacencies for the Hospital, Medical College teaching hospital and allied healthcare facilities.
- Prepare CD and SD medical planning layouts: block plans, department layouts, room-by-room planning and key room layouts (OT, ICU, ED, imaging, wards, labs, CSSD).
- Plan flows with proper separation of patient, visitor, staff, emergency, clean, dirty, material, waste and mortuary movements.
- Embed infection control, zoning (sterile, semi-sterile, general), pressure regimes and isolation requirements in the planning.
- Drive CD and SD inputs from the Architect, Interior Designer, MEPF, Structural,



Medical Equipment, ELV / Digital & Smart and Fire consultants so they match the clinical planning.
- Prepare Room Data Sheets (RDS) at the SD stage and coordinate them with Medical Equipment planning and MEP requirements.
- Plan for future expansion, flexibility, modularity and phased commissioning of clinical services.
- Make sure planning complies with NABH, JCI, NMC (for the medical college), AERB, the National Building Code (NBC), fire & life safety and other applicable healthcare norms.
- Review consultant submissions, resolve clinical-planning conflicts, and secure stage approvals on time.
