Job Summary

Mind & Brain Hospital is looking for a qualified and experienced Marriage and Family Therapist to provide qualified counselling and therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples and families experiencing marital conflicts, relationship difficulties, family issues and emotional challenges.

The candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to conduct structured therapy sessions while maintaining professional ethics and patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct individual, couples and family counselling sessions.
- Assess and address marital conflicts, relationship difficulties, communication gaps and family-related concerns.
- Provide marriage counselling, pre-marital counselling and post-marital therapeutic support.
- Help couples develop effective communication, conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Address concerns related to trust, emotional intimacy, adjustment issues and relationship distress.
- Conduct structured therapeutic interventions based on individual and family requirements.
- Develop appropriate therapy plans and monitor client progress.
- Maintain detailed and confidential clinical notes, assessment reports and therapy records.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, clinical psychologists and other healthcare professionals whenever required.
- Identify cases requiring psychiatric intervention or additional specialist support and facilitate appropriate referrals.
- Provide guidance and psychoeducation to couples and family members.
- Maintain ethical standards, professional boundaries and confidentiality throughout the therapeutic process.
- Participate in clinical discussions,



case reviews and departmental meetings.

Educational Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university or institution.
- Additional certification or specialised training in Marriage and Family Therapy, Couples Therapy or Relationship Counselling is preferred.
- Relevant professional registration or credentials, wherever applicable.

Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in marriage counselling, couples therapy or family therapy.
- Experience handling marital conflicts, relationship issues, family dynamics and emotional concerns.
- Experience working in a hospital, mental health centre or clinical psychology setup will be an added advantage.

- Strong counselling and therapeutic skills.
- Good understanding of relationship dynamics and family systems.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive relationship and family matters with empathy and professionalism.
- Conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Good clinical documentation and case management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Strong ethical judgment and commitment to patient confidentiality.
