Marketing & Sales Manager

Industry: Transportation & Logistics (FTL)

Location: Vishakhapatnam

Reports To: MD

Experience Required: 3-8+ years (in logistics / transport)

Role Objective To drive business growth through client acquisition, customer relationship management, and expanding company operations across regions and sectors such as steel, cement, FMCG, minerals, pharma, e-commerce, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

1 Marketing & Business Development

Identify and acquire new clients for transportation / logistics services (FTL, route-based operations).

Develop and implement marketing strategies for company growth.

Generate leads through market visits, cold calls, digital platforms, and industry networking.

Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations for corporate clients.

2 Sales Execution & Revenue Growth

Achieve monthly / quarterly sales targets and maintain sales pipeline.

Negotiate contract terms, and long-term agreements.

Expand client base in targeted sectors and geographies.

Maintain MIS reports on daily/weekly/monthly sales performance.

3 Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

Ensure smooth onboarding, complaint handling, issue resolution,



and service coordination with operations team.

Conduct regular visits to customer sites and participate in review meetings.

4 Coordination & Internal Collaboration

Work closely with Operations, Fleet, Accounts & Dispatch teams to ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment of customer requirements.

Coordinate customer payments, credit terms, and overdue collection follow-ups.

Required Skills & Competencies

Robust knowledge of logistics sector vehicle types, routes, trip cost, freight rates, loading/unloading, documentation.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Relationship-building and networking ability.

Target-oriented, self-driven, and able to work in field.

Proficiency in MS Excel, WhatsApp business communication, and CRM tools (if any).

Qualification

Graduate in Business / Marketing / Commerce (preferred)

MBA Marketing / Logistics (added advantage)

Field experience in transport/logistics is highly preferred
