- Define the Digital & Smart brief, use cases, system architecture and integration matrix with management, operators and clinical teams.
- Drive the ELV, IT, MEPF, Interiors, Medical Equipment consultants, OEMs and system integrators so their designs match the digital architecture.
- Ensure integration with the Hospital Information System (HIS), Integrated Building Management System (IBMS), ELV and security systems using open protocols and interoperable standards.
- Lead value engineering of technology selection, system convergence, quantities and phasing to optimise capital and lifecycle cost.
- Prepare specifications, BOQ inputs, RFPs and technical bid evaluations, and review consultant and vendor submissions.
- Support integration testing, commissioning and go-live readiness.

1. Command Control Centre

- Plan the centralised command centre for clinical, facility, security, emergency and fire and life safety (FLS) monitoring, including the video wall, dashboards, workstations and the room layout.
- Define the data feeds, alerts and response workflows from all integrated systems.

2. Queuing System

- Plan token and queue management for OPD, pharmacy, labs, imaging and billing, including displays, kiosks, SMS/app alerts and integration with the HIS.

3. Population Counter System (for FLS and Pandemic Readiness)

- Plan people-counting systems for real-time occupancy monitoring, crowd control,



evacuation management and density control during pandemics.
- Integrate the system with the Command Centre, fire alarm and access control.

4. Temperature Scanner (with Facial Recognition)

- Plan thermal screening with facial recognition at entry points, integrated with access control, visitor management and alert systems.
- Ensure the data is handled in line with privacy requirements (DPDP Act).

5. Registration & Visitor's Kiosk

- Plan self-service kiosks for patient registration, appointments, payments and visitor passes, integrated with the HIS, the queuing system and access control.

6. Radio Paging

- Plan the radio paging and staff communication system for clinical, emergency and code alerts, with coverage across the campus.

7. Dictation and Transcription

- Plan digital dictation and speech-to-text transcription for clinicians, integrated with the EMR, the radiology information system and PACS (RIS/PACS), and reporting workflows.

8. Point of Sales (POS)

- Plan POS systems for the pharmacy, cafeterias, retail and billing counters, integrated with the HIS, the ERP and digital payment platforms.

9. Hearing Enhancement System

- Plan hearing loop / assistive listening systems at reception, counters, waiting areas, auditoria and lecture halls, in line with accessibility norms.
