LiDAR Lead-GIS

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end LiDAR, UAV/drone, and photogrammetry data processing workflows.
- Process point clouds, LAS/LAZ, orthomosaics, DSM/DTM/DEM, meshes, and 3D models.
- Perform point-cloud classification, filtering, segmentation, feature extraction, and QA/QC.
- Generate accurate GIS layers and engineering-ready geospatial outputs.
- Manage coordinate systems, projections, georeferencing, and survey accuracy.
- Process drone data using Pix4D or similar tools.
- Use ArcGIS / QGIS / CloudCompare / AutoCAD for GIS and point-cloud workflows.
- Integrate LiDAR and photogrammetry outputs with GIS, BIM, CAD, and Digital Twin platforms.
- Support 3D visualization using Cesium or similar platforms.
- Coordinate with survey, BIM, engineering, and AI teams.
- Lead technical teams, review deliverables, and maintain processing standards.

Support automation using Python where applicable

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Tech / M.Tech in Geomatics, Civil, Surveying, GIS,



Remote Sensing, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in LiDAR/GIS/geospatial projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in LiDAR, point clouds, photogrammetry, and drone data processing.
- Solid knowledge of coordinate systems, georeferencing, DEM/DSM/DTM, and 3D modeling.
- Experience with ArcGIS/QGIS, Pix4D, CloudCompare, and relevant geospatial tools.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in telecom, infrastructure, roads, utilities, or smart city projects.
- Knowledge of LAS/LAZ, E57, GeoTIFF, OBJ and other 3D/geospatial formats.
- Experience with Cesium, BIM/Revit, Python automation, and large-scale LiDAR datasets.
- Experience leading survey/LiDAR teams and managing QA/QC.

Key Deliverables

- Classified and validated LiDAR point clouds.
- Accurate GIS layers, DEM/DSM/DTM, orthomosaics, and 3D models.

QA/QC reports and Digital Twin-ready datasets.

3D topographic mapping from a point cloud using the drafting software- civil 3D
