Job Summary:

We are seeking a Lecturer – Foundry will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in foundry technology and computer-aided design. The role involves teaching theoretical concepts, conducting laboratory sessions, guiding student projects, and contributing to the development of modern CAD-integrated foundry practices. The candidate is expected to bring innovation into teaching and actively participate in departmental and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver lectures in foundry technology, casting processes, and CAD applications.

· Conduct practical and laboratory sessions related to pattern making, casting techniques, and CAD modeling.

· Use innovative teaching methodologies and digital tools for effective learning.

· Develop instructional materials, assignments, and evaluation methods.

· Guide student mini and major projects related to CAD and foundry processes.

· Train students in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools.

· Support integration of CAD/CAM in foundry-related applications.

· Maintain and upgrade laboratory equipment, software, and infrastructure.

· Ensure secure working practices in labs and workshops.

· Mentor students on academic progress and technical skill development.

· Guide students for internships, industrial exposure, and career opportunities.

· Encourage participation in technical competitions, design challenges, and exhibitions.

· Contribute to curriculum development and revision incorporating latest industry trends.

· Organize workshops, seminars, and skill development programs in CAD and manufacturing.





· Collaborate with industry partners for guest lectures and training programs.

· Participate in applied research, consultancy, or industry projects related to CAD and foundry.

· Prepare research proposals and seek funding opportunities where applicable.

· Encourage innovation and prototype development among students.

· Assist in departmental documentation, ISO processes, and accreditation activities.

· Participate in institutional committees and governance activities.

· Support overall development initiatives of the department and institution.

Desired Candidate Qualification:

· Educational Qualification, B.E ME / ME – Engineering Design.

· 0–8 years of teaching or relevant industry experience. Freshers with strong technical knowledge and CAD proficiency are encouraged to apply.

· Strong understanding of foundry processes and manufacturing fundamentals.

· Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).

· Knowledge of CAD/CAM integration and design principles.

· Good communication and teaching skills.

· Ability to adopt innovative and practical teaching approaches.

· Interest in research, design, and industry collaboration.

· Strong mentoring and interpersonal abilities.
