About the Role

Role: Lab support Engineer Experience range 3-7 years. Notice period :0-15 Days

Responsibilities

- board-level debugging and root cause analysis on Intel-based platforms.
- Support hardware bring-up and validation activities for new product introductions (NPI).
- Analyse schematic diagrams, layout files, and board documentation to troubleshoot failures.
- Execute component-level rework including BGA, QFN, QFP, and fine-pitch package replacement.
- Debug power sequencing, clock generation, reset signals, and high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, USB, SATA, and Ethernet.
- Utilize lab tools including Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Digital Mustimeter (DMM), Power Analyzer, and JTAG debuggers.
- Investigate functional, electrical, and thermal issues during validation and manufacturing stages.
- Collaborate with design engineers to resolve hardware and firmware-related failures.
- Develop debug procedures, failure reports, and corrective action recommendations.
- Support yield improvement initiatives through failure trend analysis.
- Verify reworked boards meet quality and functional requirements before release.
- Lab set-up from scratch, Assembling/Dismantle of systems.
- Ramp up/Ramp down of systems/platforms -SW update, H/W Configuration & Maintenance.
- Maintenance work includes general/ instability debug, swapping/replacing hardware components, socket cleaning, thermal heads checking and chiller maintenance.
- Install Operative systems, drivers, etc. following BKCs via automation framework: Proficient in (windows/Linux).
- Lab IT Support like Host builds, patching, SED port identification, KVM/PDU IP config.
- Basic system and validation triage via KVM’s.
- Test equipment enablement and basic measurements also coordinate calibrations with vendor.
- Perform basic lab/device execution following defined procedures.
- Analysing Log failures, Basic triage of failures and sighting/Bug filings.
- Ability to recover dead systems/platforms quickly and with some guidance from a technician L3/L4.
