The Account Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on bank closures, voucher verification, GST compliance, and inventory accounting. The role ensures accurate month-end closing in Tally, and prepares essential financial and expense reports. The position plays a key role in maintaining data accuracy, internal controls, and timely financial reporting under the guidance of senior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform month-end closing of bank accounts in Tally.

- Verify vouchers, identify errors, and carry out necessary corrections before final closure.

- Prepare and maintain bank-related reports to support reconciliation and review.

- Prepare monthly travelling and expense reports with proper documentation.

- Ensure timely submission of reports as per internal accounting timelines.

- Maintain and update the stock register on a monthly basis.





- Check purchase invoices for GST accuracy, correctness of rates, and compliance.

- Support senior accountants in ensuring proper ITC eligibility and documentation.

- Assist senior team members in month-end activities and audits as required.

- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely updating of accounting records in Tally.

Preferred Skills

- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and Tally operations

- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation processes

- Working knowledge of GST invoice verification and ITC

- Accuracy in voucher scrutiny and error correction

- Ability to meet strict month-end timelines
