Key Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end accounting operations related to export and import transactions.
2. Handle export/import invoices, purchase bills, sales entries and payment records.
3. Manage bank reconciliations, foreign currency transactions and exchange rate differences.
4. Handle GST, TDS, LUT, IGST refunds and other statutory compliances related to exports and imports.
5. Coordinate with banks, customs agents, freight forwarders and auditors.
6. Monitor accounts receivable, payable, outstanding payments and vendor settlements.
7. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for export/import shipments.
8. Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports and cash flow reports.
9.



Ensure timely filing of GST returns and other applicable statutory returns.
10. Support internal audits, statutory audits and financial planning.

Essential Interview Screening Questions
1. How many years of experience do you have in export/import accounting?
2. Are you familiar with GST, LUT, IGST refunds, TDS and foreign currency transactions?
3. Have you independently handled bank reconciliation, forex accounting and export/import documentation?
4. Which accounting software have you worked on (Tally, SAP, or ERP)?

Preferred Skills: Robust knowledge of export-import accounting, GST compliance, forex transactions, banking procedures and financial reporting.
