Our product range — ice baths, infrared saunas, and red light therapy panels — is installed at leading gyms, luxury hotels, destination spas, corporate wellness centers, and with high-net-worth individuals across the country.

MISSION OF THE ROLE

Assemble Biotastic products to drawing, BOM and checklist, at standard cycle time and with zero escapes to the customer, while keeping the build area safe, clean and documented.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Refrigeration and Chiller Build

- Assemble chillers, cold-plunge units and chill systems to the assembly drawing, P&ID; and BOM.
- Fit compressors, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, valves and filter driers in the correct position and orientation.
- Cut, bend, flare and braze copper and other refrigerant tubing, and route lines cleanly to specification.
- Pressure-test and leak-test the circuit with nitrogen, then evacuate with a vacuum pump and hold the vacuum before charging.
- Charge refrigerant to the specified quantity (with certified supervision where required) and record the pressures and weight charged.
- Handle refrigerants safely and follow recovery and disposal practice, with no venting.

2. Water Side and Plumbing

- Fit water lines, fittings, pumps, tanks, filtration and drain connections on cold tubs and chill systems.
- Check for leaks, flow and water-tight sealing before handover.
- Insulate pipes and joints properly to prevent condensation and heat loss.

3. Electrical and Controls

- Wire power and control panels, contactors, relays, thermostats and temperature controllers to the wiring diagram.
- Do crimping, terminating and harness routing neatly, with correct earthing and electrical safety.
- Fit sensors, IoT modules and display units when the product calls for them, including basic soldering.




- Check continuity, insulation, voltage and current draw with a multimeter and clamp meter.

4. Commissioning and Testing

- Run each unit through the functional test: pull-down time, set-point temperature, compressor and pump behaviour, and alarms and safety cutouts.
- Log the test readings (suction and discharge pressure, temperatures, current) against the acceptance range.
- Complete the QC checklist for every unit, and report any defect or deviation to the line lead the same day.
- Support the R&D; and HVAC engineer during prototype and third-party safety testing.

5. Process, Documentation and Team

- Keep the build log, serial numbers and test sheets accurate and current.
- Verify parts against the BOM before starting, and flag shortages or wrong parts immediately.
- Follow SOPs and work instructions in English or Tamil, and maintain 5S at your station.
- Give feedback to R&D; and design on anything hard to build, service or access.
- Stay for overtime in peak production weeks, and support installation or service visits when needed.

MUST-HAVE VS. POSITIVE-TO-HAVE Must-have

- ITI, Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related trade.
- Can read an assembly drawing and a BOM, and use hand tools, power tools, torque tools and a multimeter.
- Basic wiring, crimping, fastening and electrical safety.
- Reads and follows written work instructions in English or Tamil.
- Punctual, finishes what is started and reports mistakes the same day.
- Comfortable standing, lifting and working on the shop floor, with overtime in peak weeks.

Good-to-have

- Refrigeration, chiller or plumbing experience (helps on IceCode and chill systems).
- 0 to 2 years of hands-on assembly in appliances, HVAC or refrigeration, electronics, panels or similar products. Strong freshers with a trade-test pass will be considered.
- Woodwork or sheet-metal assembly.
- Soldering, PCB or IoT module fitting.
- Exposure to QC checklists, ISO or 5S routines.
