Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Projects to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of new store opening projects across the retail network. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycle activities including site assessment, civil construction, fit-outs, vendor management, budgeting, statutory compliance, and timely store launches. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in retail expansion, multi-site project execution, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Lead end-to-end execution of new store opening projects across multiple locations.

Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.

Ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines.

Monitor project progress and proactively address execution challenges.

Retail Store Development

Manage civil, interior fit-out, MEP, faade, signage, and infrastructure works for recent stores.

Coordinate with design, operations, merchandising, procurement, and business teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Drive standardization of store formats and project execution processes.

Vendor & Contractor Management

Identify, onboard, and manage contractors, consultants,



architects, and project vendors.

Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to achieve cost efficiencies.

Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare annual CAPEX plans for store expansion projects.

Manage project budgets, cost estimates, and expenditure tracking.

Ensure effective cost optimization without compromising project quality.

Site Evaluation & Handover

Participate in site feasibility assessments and technical due diligence.

Conduct site inspections and evaluate project readiness.

Ensure smooth handover of completed stores to operations teams before launch.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Monitor project documentation, audits, and reporting requirements.

Establish governance mechanisms and project review frameworks.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and site teams.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align project goals with business expansion plans.

Present project updates, risk assessments, and expansion progress to senior leadership.
