Role Description The Head of Production is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashik, responsible for overseeing end-to-end production activities for Heavy machined components, castings and Assemblies. This role involves developing and executing production plans, managing manufacturing workflows, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and optimizing resource utilization. The Head of Production will coordinate closely with operations, maintenance, supply chain, and quality teams to meet delivery timelines and productivity targets.

Daily responsibilities include monitoring production metrics, communicating between two manufacturing facilities, resolving process bottlenecks, leading and mentoring production teams, and driving cost-effective practices and continuous improvement initiatives.



The role also requires close involvement in budget planning for the production function and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to handle scheduling, capacity planning, and execution of production activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Operations Management skills to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills to lead, motivate, and develop production staff across multiple shifts.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage production costs, allocate resources, and support financial planning for the plant.
- Relevant experience (typically 8–12 years or more) in heavy engineering, manufacturing, or mining/construction equipment production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a plant environment, with a robust focus on safety, compliance, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in using production and ERP systems.
