Outris builds investigation software for law enforcement in India. Our flagship platform, CryptoFlow, is a blockchain forensics workbench used by state cyber cells and investigating agencies. It traces funds across 27 chains, checks them against roughly 1.27 million attributed entities, and follows the money where most tools stop: into UPI, P2P and Telegram OTC off-ramps.
It also produces court-ready evidence under Indian law, including Section 65B / BSA §63 certificates and BNSS production notices.
A state CID recently used CryptoFlow to close a ₹350 crore narcotics case. We’re now bidding for state, central and international government programmes, and we need a domain expert who can win those bids and help decide what we build next.
The role
This is a hybrid role. About half of it is being our technical voice in front of buyers. The other half is working with the founder and engineering team to shape the product. You’ll be the person in the room who has actually traced a ransomware payout through a mixer and a bridge, and who can explain it clearly to a Superintendent of Police and to a procurement committee.
What you’ll do
Bids and customers
- Lead the technical side of RFPs, tenders and proposals for police, central agencies and international bodies
- Run live demos and proof-of-concept investigations on real case data
- Answer evaluators’ technical questions credibly and accurately, without overclaiming
- Help deliver investigator training, including our Certified Crypto Investigator course
Product
- Turn what investigators need into product priorities, specs and acceptance criteria
- Review our tracing logic, heuristics and attribution data for analytical soundness and evidentiary defensibility
- Track new typologies (chain-hopping, bridges, privacy coins, USDT-TRC20 laundering, P2P cash-out) and make sure the platform keeps up
- Benchmark us honestly against Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic and others
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of hands-on blockchain investigation or analytics, in law enforcement, at a forensics vendor, in exchange compliance or in financial intelligence
- Deep fluency in both UTXO (BTC) and account-based (EVM, TRON) tracing, plus working knowledge of bridges, DEXs, mixers and privacy chains
- Experience with at least one major commercial tracing tool
- A track record of writing investigation reports that hold up to legal or regulatory scrutiny
- Experience with bids, pre-sales or solution consulting, or a strong desire to do this work
- The ability to explain complex flows simply, in writing and in person
Nice to have
- Former LEA, FIU, or exchange compliance/investigations background
- Familiarity with Indian procedure (BNSS, BSA, FIU-IND reporting) or UK/EU AML frameworks
- Python or SQL comfortable enough to query data yourself
- Industry certifications (e.g. Chainalysis, TRM, CTCE)
- Eligibility for UK security clearance
- Why join You’ll have real influence. This is a small, senior team, the product is already in investigators’ hands, and you’ll help decide what gets built next. The work has visible impact: cases closed and money traced. Market-competitive salary plus equity.
