Job Summary

Mind & Brain Hospital is looking for a qualified and experienced General Physician to provide comprehensive medical consultation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with general medical conditions. The physician will also support the medical management of patients admitted to the hospital and coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.

The candidate should have strong clinical knowledge, good decision-making abilities and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct general medical consultations, patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Evaluate patients admitted to the hospital and provide appropriate medical management.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, clinical condition and treatment progress.
- Identify medical emergencies and initiate appropriate emergency management and referrals.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists and other specialists for patients requiring integrated medical and psychiatric care.
- Review laboratory investigations, diagnostic reports and other clinical findings.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor treatment response.
- Maintain accurate medical records, clinical notes, prescriptions and treatment documentation.
- Provide medical advice and counselling to patients and their families.
- Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control practices and patient safety standards.




- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure proper implementation of medical treatment plans.
- Support the hospital's ICU and emergency services within the physician's clinical competence and assigned responsibilities.

Educational Qualifications
- MBBS from a recognised medical institution.
- Valid registration with the State Medical Council / National Medical Register, as applicable.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Fresh MBBS graduates with relevant clinical exposure may be considered.
- Experience in general medicine, inpatient care and emergency management is preferred.
- Hospital experience will be an added advantage.
