We have an urgent opening for a Manager/Sr. Manager (Estimation) with in-depth knowledge of overhead crane design/calculations, cost, and estimation, primarily focusing on process cranes for steel plants in India and overseas/international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study tenders/RFQs and summarize points related to basic engineering and estimation.
- Participate in pre-bid discussions with customers to understand requirements.
- Perform basic engineering and calculate estimated costs of cranes.
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers, managing all communication until order finalization.
- Respond to and communicate with customers/consultants regarding techno-commercial queries.
- Attend meetings with customers to discuss and resolve queries, and submit final/revised techno-commercial offers.
- Prepare and issue RFQs for bought-out items to sub-vendors and collect techno-commercial offers for cost estimation.
- Release work orders in ERP for further processing and execution,
coordinating for smoother order execution with all concerned departments.
- Conduct basic engineering and calculations, including selection of motors, brakes, gearboxes, rope drums, wire rope, pulleys, etc., for internal approval.
- Attend kick-off meetings with customers and provide interdisciplinary coordination with various departments for successful engineering.
- Participate in project review meetings to track project progress.
- Work on tasks assigned by the HOD related to Marketing activities.
- Check cost and estimation prepared by engineers and provide training.
- Contribute to cost optimization efforts.
- Maintain customer relationships.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian Crane Design Standards and international crane design standards (e.g., FEM, CMAA, DIN, AISE).
