Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Emergency Veterinary Doctor role based in Bengaluru.

The Emergency Veterinary

Doctor will provide urgent and critical care to companion animals, including triage, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of acute and life-threatening conditions. Daily responsibilities include performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and carrying out emergency procedures and surgeries as needed. The role involves close collaboration with veterinary nurses, support staff, and other veterinarians to ensure high-quality, timely care and explicit communication with pet caregivers.

Doctor will also maintain accurate medical records, uphold infection-control and safety protocols, and contribute to a supportive,



learning-focused clinical environment.

Qualifications

- Formal veterinary qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent, with appropriate registration to practice veterinary medicine.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in emergency and critical care, including triage, rapid diagnosis, stabilization, and management of trauma, toxicities, and acute medical conditions.
- Proficiency in diagnostic techniques, such as laboratory testing, imaging interpretation (X-ray, ultrasound), and clinical pathology relevant to emergency practice.
- Strong surgical and procedural skills for emergency interventions, including wound management, basic soft-tissue surgery, anesthesia, and pain management.
- Excellent communication and client-service skills, with the ability to explain complex medical situations clearly and support caregivers during stressful events.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary veterinary team and maintain professionalism in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical environments.
- Commitment to ethical practice, animal welfare, and adherence to hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required for emergency coverage.
- Ongoing interest in professional development, staying current with advances in emergency and critical care medicine through continuing education.
- Prior experience in an emergency or referral veterinary setting is highly beneficial but motivated early-career veterinarians with strong foundational skills are encouraged to apply.
