Zamorins Solutions India

Kochi

COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Zamorins Solutions is a growing software company founded in 2014 in Des Moines, Iowa, with a strong delivery center in Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala. We began as a web development firm and have expanded into mobile development, business analysis, digital marketing, and our own SaaS products serving clients across North America and beyond. We are looking for a hands-on technology leader to own three core areas: technology operations with strong database and AI capabilities, day-to-day operations for our Kochi office, and HR management for our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

- Drive the adoption of AI across our products and internal workflows, turning AI from an idea into working features and measurable time savings.
- Run the Kochi office: daily operations and attendance, so the team stays productive and accountable.
- Own HR management for the Kochi team, from hiring and onboarding to performance, policies, and employee well-being.
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO, owning execution so leadership can stay focused on growth and strategy.

- WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

- Database leadership: design, manage, and optimize relational and cloud databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Supabase or similar); own data modeling, query performance, backups, replication, and disaster recovery.
- AI and data initiatives: lead the design and delivery of AI features using LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, or similar), including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, AI agents, and workflow automation; evaluate new AI tools and guide responsible use.
- Technology operations: oversee infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Vercel, or similar), deployments, monitoring, uptime, and IT service management (incident, problem, and change processes).
- Project and delivery management: plan, prioritize, and track technology initiatives using agile methods; manage timelines, sprint goals, deliverables, and quality across product and client projects.

- Daily operations: manage day-to-day office functioning, work schedules, resource allocation, vendor relationships, and IT assets so work runs smoothly every day.
- Attendance management: monitor daily attendance, punctuality, leave, and work-from-office compliance; maintain accurate records and share regular attendance reports with leadership.
- HR management: own the full employee lifecycle: workforce planning, recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and exit processes.
- HR policies and compliance: create, update, and enforce HR policies, the employee handbook, and leave rules; ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, PF, ESI, and gratuity requirements.
- Performance and payroll: run goal setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans; maintain employee records and prepare accurate monthly payroll inputs.
- Employee relations: handle employee concerns and grievances fairly and promptly; drive engagement, training, and retention initiatives.
- Security and compliance: enforce data security, access control, and backup policies; support risk management and compliance practices across systems and client data.
- Team leadership: lead, mentor, and motivate developers and technical staff; build a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Reporting and metrics: track performance KPIs for systems, projects, and people; prepare clear weekly reports for the CEO.

- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Proven experience in a senior technology, IT operations, or engineering leadership role, preferably in a software or digital services company.
- Strong,

hands-on database expertise: SQL, schema design, performance tuning, and administration of production databases.
- Practical AI experience: has built or shipped AI-powered features or automations using LLM APIs, RAG, vector databases, or machine learning tools.
- Solid knowledge of IT service management, cloud infrastructure, and modern development practices (Git, CI/CD, APIs).
- Strong HR management experience: hiring, onboarding, attendance and leave management, performance appraisals, payroll coordination, and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, gratuity, Shops and Establishments Act).
- Data Science skills: data analysis, Python or R, data visualization, and applying machine learning to business problems.
- Strong project management and analytical skills; able to read data, diagnose issues, and make sound decisions quickly.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, and risk management practices in IT environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to work clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and international teams. Fluency in Malayalam is preferred.
- PMP, ITIL, cloud, or AI certifications are a plus.
- A positive, growth-oriented mindset: you thrive in a fast-moving environment, bring solutions rather than excuses, and take ownership as if the business were your own.

- WHY JOIN ZAMORINS

- Work on real SaaS products and client solutions used across North America.
- Lead AI adoption in a company that is actively investing in it.
- Direct partnership with the CEO and a clear path to grow with the business.
- A collaborative workplace focused on continuous learning and innovation.

- This is a full on-site role requiring daily presence at our Kakkanad office. Candidates based in the Kochi area are strongly encouraged to apply.
