Title: Credit Analyst - Insurance / Credit Research - Mumbai - 4-7 Years of ExperienceSummary We are looking for a Credit Analyst with strong expertise in credit research, financial analysis, and debt portfolio monitoring. The role involves evaluating corporate and financial institution issuers, preparing credit appraisal notes, monitoring portfolio risks, and assessing regulatory and macroeconomic developments that may impact credit quality.

Responsibilities

- Conducting credit analysis of proposed issuers, including corporates, PSUs, NBFCs, and banks, through financial statement reviews, cash flow assessments, and business and industry risk evaluations.
- Preparing credit appraisal notes and investment recommendation reports for the Sub Investment Committee.
- Monitoring the debt portfolio for rating changes, covenant breaches, sector stress, and early warning signals.
- Tracking macroeconomic, sector-specific, and company-level developments that may impact credit quality.
- Monitoring regulatory updates from RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI and assessing their impact on portfolio holdings.

Requirements

- Holding an MBA in Finance, CA, or CFA qualification from a recognised institute.
- Possessing 4-7 years of overall experience, including at least 2 years in credit research or credit analysis.




- Demonstrating a strong understanding of credit analysis principles, financial ratio analysis, and balance sheet and cash flow interpretation.
- Possessing strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrating the ability to work effectively under regulatory and reporting deadlines.
- Bringing prior experience with an insurance company, mutual fund/AMC, bank credit department, NBFC, or credit rating agency.
- Having CFA or FRM certification, completed or in progress, as a preferred qualification.
