Role Description This full-time, on-site Continental Chef role (Chef de Partie & Sous Chef) is based in Puducherry, India. The professional in this role will plan, prepare, and present a variety of Continental dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation according to restaurant standards. Daily responsibilities include managing a specific section of the kitchen, supervising junior staff, organizing mise en place, and maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.

The Continental

Chef will collaborate with the Head Chef and management on menu development, portion control, inventory monitoring, and cost management. The role also involves training team members, coordinating with service staff for smooth kitchen operations, and supporting in peak service hours to ensure timely delivery of dishes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Continental cuisine skills, including preparation, cooking techniques, plating, and menu knowledge.
- Candidates should possess kitchen operations skills such as section management,



mise en place organization, and coordination during service.
- Candidates should possess food safety and hygiene skills, including adherence to sanitation standards, proper storage, and understanding of HACCP or similar guidelines.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and communication skills, including supervising junior staff, delegating tasks, and collaborating with front-of-house teams.
- Candidates should possess time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
- Formal culinary training or a diploma in Hotel Management/Culinary Arts from a recognized institution is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Continental Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and a strong commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
