An Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) is a medical doctor who specializes in women's reproductive health, pregnancy, and childbirth.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

- Obstetric Care: Monitor pregnancies, provide prenatal check-ups, manage labor and delivery, and handle postpartum care for mothers and newborns.
- Gynecological Care: Perform routine wellness exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic evaluations.
- Diagnostics & Treatment: Diagnose and treat conditions like endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Surgical Procedures: Perform gynecological and obstetric surgeries, including cesarean sections (C-sections), hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and biopsies.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, menopause management, and preventive health.

Responsibilities

- Examine, diagnose, and treat various conditions and diseases that affect women’s health, such as infections, hormonal disorders, cancers, etc.




- Perform tests and procedures, such as pap smears, pelvic exams, ultrasounds, biopsies, etc.
- Prescribe medications and treatments according to best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
- Provide prenatal care and monitor the health of pregnant women and their fetuses.
- Deliver babies using natural or surgical methods and provide postnatal care.
- Perform surgeries and operations, such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, tubal ligations, etc.
- Educate and advise women on family planning, contraception, fertility, menopause, and other topics related to women’s health.
- Refer patients to other specialists or services when needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and documentation.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments and research in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Pay: From ₹150,000.00 per month
