HCLSoftware is seeking an experienced CMDB Analyst / CMDB Librarian with 10-15 years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM),

Configuration Management, and CMDB governance.

This techno-functional role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and currency of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), which serves as the intelligence backbone for Service Operations and Service

Delivery processes rather than a passive data store.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of process knowledge,

technical expertise, and stakeholder management skills to remediate the gaps identified in the CMDB Assessment Report, drive CMDB maturity, and sustain data governance and service mapping through live operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

 Own CMDB lifecycle, data quality, and stewardship across discovery, completeness, and currency, and govern the enterprise

CMDB for accuracy and compliance.

 Manage Configuration Items (CIs), CI relationships, service maps,

and lifecycle controls.

 Establish and maintain Configuration Management standards,

policies, and governance frameworks.

 Remediate all gaps identified in the CMDB Assessment Report,

and drive CMDB health, data quality, reconciliation, audit, and remediation activities.

 Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, security, and operations teams to maintain accurate configuration data,

including the CI-relationship data that security and compliance management consume.

 Support Service Operations and Service Delivery processes

(service operations, service fulfilment, change and release, and availability and capacity management) through closed-loop CMDB utilization.

 Lead service mapping, discovery, and dependency mapping initiatives, using discovery,



to improve service visibility.

 Support the ground-up CMDB re-implementation and maintain continuity for existing CMDB users, such as Security Compliance,

until the new system is fully ready for use.

 Develop and publish CMDB performance metrics, dashboards,

and governance reports.

 Identify opportunities for process automation and continual improvement.



Required Experience & Skills

 10-15 years of experience in ITSM, Configuration Management,

Asset Management, or Service Operations.

 Extensive experience managing enterprise CMDB environments and Configuration Management processes.

 Strong understanding of ITIL practices, CMDB data models, CI lifecycle management, and governance.

 Hands-on experience with CMDB discovery, service mapping, data reconciliation, and reporting.

 Experience working with complex enterprise infrastructure,

applications, cloud, and hybrid environments, including data center service production.

 Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Technical Expertise

 ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping or

 BMC Helix CMDB

 HCL Software Service Management Solutions- very good to have

 IT Asset Management (ITAM), including utility and warranty management

 Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

 Automation, Integrations, and Data Governance Tools

 Reporting and Dashboarding Solutions

ITIL certified, ITOM etc.

Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information

Technology, or related field.

 ITIL Foundation or Intermediate certification preferred.
