About WiREnet
WiREnet World is a community of women across the real estate ecosystem, held together by conversation, events, and the belief that we grow further when we grow together. It is guided by a seven-member Governing Council, with a growing presence in Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and more cities to come.
Role & responsibilities
You will be the heartbeat of the community: the person members hear from, the person new members meet first, and the one who keeps the Council, our partners, our events, and every engagement moving in the same direction. You'll have real room to shape how you work. What we ask in return is accountability:
tasks seen through, commitments met, and the loop always closed.
Preferred candidate profile
What you'll do
- Grow and care for the membership. Reach out to new members, stay in regular touch with existing
ones, and keep an open line of conversation so no one feels forgotten. New members are added in discussion with the Council.
- Work with the Governing Council. Each Council member leads a specific portfolio. You'll partner with
each of us, hold the threads between seven people, and keep everyone informed.
- Support our city communities. Beyond Bengaluru, you'll support community work and events in
Pune, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, and in current cities as WiREnet grows.
- Own the year's events calendar. You'll build and maintain a single calendar for the year and work
steadily towards it. It anchors on our two flagship events (the half-yearly gathering and the annual event), with smaller engagements in between: campus tours and site visits, engagement with members' own communities and businesses,
and hybrid sessions, both virtual and in person.
- Run each event end to end. You'll coordinate venues and venue owners, performers, F&B;, vendors,
and on-the-day logistics. After each event, you'll formally close every engagement: communications, payments, and financials settled in full.
- Work with the Treasurer on finances. You'll work closely with the Council's Treasurer on event
budgets, vendor payments, sponsorship and membership receipts, and financial records, keeping everything accurate, documented, and up to date.
- Manage our media partners. You'll brief our media management company, review creative with a
basic eye for layout and visual quality, and make sure every asset, photo, and record is properly organised in our shared Drive and available when needed.
- Lead and delegate. A Community Associate (a fresher or intern) will support you. You'll assign work
clearly and kindly, and help them grow.
Who you are
- 25 years in community management, events, membership, or partnerships; real estate exposure is a
plus
- Outgoing, warm, and genuinely energised by people. The kind of person others naturally approach
- A clear communicator who asks questions, offers help, seeks help when needed, and keeps learning
- Comfortable with technology, visual layouts, and basic design tools (Canva or similar)
- Composed and confident working with senior professionals, able to manage expectations and hold a
clear line with grace
- Relentlessly positive and dependable. You set realistic timelines, meet them, keep your logs and
schedules up to date, finish what you start, and tell us when it's done
- Organised, with a working command of Excel/Google Sheets and Drive
- A working knowledge of budgets, invoicing, vendor payments, and basic bookkeeping, with the
judgement to seek timely support from the Treasurer when needed
- Able to travel at short notice to meetings, visits, and events in Bengaluru and other cities
How we'll work together
- Accountability comes first. Meeting agreed work expectations is central to this role.
- Daily: a short end-of-day note in the Council group covering what you did today and what's next
- Weekly (or twice weekly): a call with the Council to set out the week ahead
- Weekly tracker: a shared sheet you keep updated with tasks, owners, status, and completion dates
- Hours: this is a full eight-hour-a-day role, and how you shape those hours is yours. Around events,
expect long days and time on the ground wherever the event is. Quieter months balance this out.
- Leave and travel: inform the Council in advance of any planned leave, and of any personal travel
during working days.
- Location: you'll work remotely, but you need to be based in Bengaluru, as the Council is, so you can
join meetings, visits, and events in person.
