Job Title: Electrical QA/QC Engineer Wind Energy

We are looking for an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer for wind power projects. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring the quality of electrical installation activities related to wind turbine generators (WTG), substations, transmission lines, and associated electrical infrastructure as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor and inspect electrical installation activities at wind power project sites.
2. Ensure quality compliance during wind turbine electrical installation.
3. Inspect HT/LT cable laying, routing, dressing, glanding, and termination.
4. Monitor installation of wind turbine transformers and electrical panels.
5. Inspect electrical connections between wind turbines and substations.
6. Ensure proper installation of earthing and lightning protection systems.
7. Inspect installation of HT/LT switchgear, RMU, VCB, and control panels.
8. Monitor substation electrical installation and equipment erection.
9. Inspect cable trench, cable tray, and underground cable installation.
10. Verify electrical works as per approved drawings and specifications.
11. Conduct inspections and prepare Work Inspection Requests (WIR).
12. Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)



and quality checklists.
13. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies.
14. Identify quality issues and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
15. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
16. Review electrical testing and commissioning reports.
17. Maintain daily quality reports, inspection records, and test documentation.

Required Technical Skills

- Knowledge of wind power plant electrical systems.
- Understanding of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) electrical systems.
- Knowledge of HT/LT cable laying and termination.
- Experience in transformer and switchgear installation.
- Knowledge of substation electrical works.
- Understanding of earthing and lightning protection systems.

- Knowledge of electrical testing
- Insulation Resistance (IR) Test.
- Continuity Test.
- Earth Resistance Test.
- High Voltage (HV) Testing.
- Cable VLF Testing.
- Ability to read Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical layout drawings.
- Knowledge of applicable IS, IEC, and electrical safety standards.
- Familiarity with ITP, WIR, MIR, NCR, and method statements.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.

Educational Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
