About the Role

Zone 6 Cafe is looking for a passionate, hands-on culinary leader to take full charge of our kitchen. As Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef/ Chef, you’ll own everything from menu creation to the plate that reaches our guests. You’ll lead the kitchen team, set the standard for food quality, and help shape the cafe’s culinary identity as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Kitchen leadership: Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team; manage shift schedules and set explicit performance standards.
- Menu planning: Design, test, and refresh menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, guest preferences, and current food trends.
- Food quality and consistency: Ensure every dish meets Zone 6’s standards for taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Cost control: Manage food costs, inventory, wastage, and vendor relationships to keep the kitchen profitable.
- Hygiene and safety compliance: Maintain FSSAI and food safety standards, kitchen cleanliness,



and workplace safety at all times.
- Operations: Oversee procurement, stock rotation, equipment upkeep, and smooth day-to-day kitchen operations, including peak service hours.

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef, or Sous Chef in a cafe, restaurant, or hotel kitchen
- Strong skills in menu development and food costing
- Hands-on leadership style and the ability to keep a team calm and efficient under pressure
- Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance norms
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a genuine love for great food
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred
