: Centre Head – Engineering Centre

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Centre Head to lead engineering centre operations, business growth, customer relationships, delivery excellence, and organizational development. The role will drive operational efficiency, financial performance, resource utilization, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth while building high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Centre Leadership: Lead overall centre operations, establish performance metrics, strengthen governance, and drive operational excellence, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Business Growth & Financial Management: Own revenue, profitability, budgets, operating costs, utilization, and capacity planning. Drive account expansion, new business opportunities, margin improvement, and service growth.
- Customer Management: Build strategic customer relationships, manage escalations, lead business reviews, and identify opportunities for cross-selling and long-term partnerships.
- Engineering Delivery: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of engineering programs. Establish delivery governance, monitor project performance, manage risks, and drive innovation and process improvements.
- People Leadership: Lead engineering managers and functional heads. Drive workforce planning, talent development, retention, succession planning, employee engagement, and leadership capability building in partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition.
- Governance & Compliance:



Ensure compliance with organizational policies, customer requirements, and statutory obligations. Review operational, financial, delivery, and workforce risks, providing regular performance updates to senior management.
- Administration & Infrastructure Management: Oversee all centre administration, facilities, infrastructure, workspace planning, security, vendor management, EHS compliance, employee support services, and business continuity activities to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and a productive work workplace.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing an engineering centre, technology delivery centre, large engineering organization, or business unit.
- Strong expertise in business operations, financial management, customer engagement, delivery governance, resource utilization, and operational KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and drive business growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in semiconductor, VLSI, product engineering, embedded systems, electronics, or engineering services, with exposure to global customers, distributed teams, and scaling engineering operations.
