Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reflective BEE Teacher to join our Middle School team. The teacher will facilitate engaging learning experiences in Business, Enterprise and Economics, enabling students to understand how businesses, markets and economies work and how these concepts influence the world around them.

The role involves going beyond textbook learning to create opportunities for students to question, investigate, analyse, create and apply their understanding to real-world contexts.

What We Are Looking For

- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Commerce, Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship or a related discipline.
- Prior industry experience in startups, entrepreneurship, business development, finance, consulting or related fields is strongly preferred.
- An understanding of the school education system and the ability to translate practical industry knowledge into meaningful,



age-appropriate learning experiences for Middle School students.
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, training or working with children and adolescents is preferred. A recognised teaching qualification or relevant teacher training would be an added advantage.

- Strong conceptual understanding of business and economics, with the ability to connect subject knowledge to real-world business practices, economic developments and social contexts.
- Solid communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills, with a genuine interest in working with adolescents and understanding their learning needs.
- A curious, reflective and collaborative approach to learning, with the ability to encourage curiosity rather than simply provide answers, openness to feedback and a willingness to experiment with innovative approaches to teaching.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in Business, Enterprise and Economics for Middle School students, covering fundamental concepts of business, entrepreneurship, economics, markets, finance and decision-making.

- Design active and meaningful learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to real-world business practices,



current affairs and everyday situations through case studies, discussions, simulations and experiential learning.
- Encourage students to question, explore and think critically through activities and projects involving problem-solving, ideation, innovation, research and enterprise development.
- Develop students' communication, collaboration, financial awareness, analytical and decision-making skills, helping them make meaningful connections between classroom learning and the world around them.

- Assess student learning through varied formative and summative approaches, provide constructive feedback and adapt learning experiences to address different student needs and abilities.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with students, create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment, and act as a positive role model who puts student learning and development at the centre of their practice.
- Collaborate with teachers and academic teams on curriculum development, interdisciplinary learning, school-wide projects and student-led initiatives, while continuously reflecting on teaching practices and contributing to the wider school community.
