Job Summary

The Branch Credit Manager will be responsible for managing the overall credit operations of the branch, ensuring quality loan assessments, effective risk management, timely loan processing, and adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Appraisal & Assessment: Evaluate loan applications, assess customer repayment capacity, and verify financial and personal details.

- Field Verification: Ensure proper field investigations, customer visits, business verification, and residence verification before loan approval.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential credit risks, analyse customer profiles, and ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Loan Approval: Review and approve loan proposals within the delegated authority and company credit policy.
- Team Management: Supervise and guide the credit team, monitor performance, and ensure smooth branch-level credit operations.
- Portfolio Quality: Monitor loan portfolio quality, track overdue accounts,



and take necessary actions to minimise NPAs.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company credit policies, KYC norms, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordination: Coordinate with the Branch Manager, Regional Credit Manager, and other departments for smooth business operations.
- MIS & Reporting: Maintain credit-related MIS, prepare reports, and regularly share updates with senior management.
- TAT Management: Ensure timely processing of loan applications without compromising credit quality.

Required Skills

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.

- Strong understanding of KYC and documentation processes.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline.

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in NBFC, banking, or financial services.

- Experience in credit underwriting and loan assessment preferred.

- Ability to manage branch-level credit operations independently.
