Electromechanical Engineer

- Essence of function

An electromechanical engineer combines principles of electrical and mechanical engineering to design, develop, and maintain systems and devices that involve both electrical and mechanical processes such as cabinets, racks and cables.
- Tasks-Responsibilities-Authorities

Junior: Execution of basic multi disciplinary tasks, delivery of documentation and technical product documentation Medior: Execution of complex disciplinary tasks, delivery of documentation and technical product documentation and mentoring of Juniors

Senior: Architecture and design of complex disciplinary tasks, delivery of documentation, mentoring of Juniors and Mediors and providing technical leadership

Core Skills:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in some or all skills below:
- 3D CAD design in Siemens NX (or a similar 3D CAD tool),
- 2D drawings creation,
- Product Lifecycle Management, ideally Siemens Teamcenter.
- Fluent in English (B2 level minimum, C1 preferred)
- Proactive attitude and effective communication leading to strong team player
- Preferably not focused on ultra-high-precision domains like aerospace or surgical robotics
- Levels

3.1 Level 1 (Junior Electromechanical Engineer)

Tasks: Design:

- Supporting design of technical products and components
- Creation of electromechanical concepts
- Collaboration with design teams to refine electromechanical designs
- Creation of spare parts and defining packaging

Documentation And Collaboration:

- Assisting in preparing concept review presentations
- Creation of technical design documentation (TPD)




- Storing 2/3D drawings and technical documentations in PDM: Siemens Teamcenter
- Report on progress to the team and flag blocking points
- Basic understanding of change management

Hard Skills:

- Basic understanding of design principles f.e:
- Production methods
- Fastening methods
- Materials
- Basic experience in CAD (Catia, Inventor, NX preferred, SolidWorks) software and simulation (Abaqus, NX Nastran) tools
- Understanding of V-model
- Basic understanding of scrum/ agile way of working

Criteria:

- 0-2 years of experience
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

3.2 Level 2 (Medior Electromechanical Engineer) Design: All tasks of level 1 plus:

- Development of visual concepts and design for technical products
- Translation of requirement into working concepts
- Maintaining quality and consistency of all designs
- Collaborating with multiple design teams to optimize and implement designs.

Documentation And Collaboration:

- Leading of the design team
- Presenting of designs and concepts to stakeholders
- Supporting project managers with planning and execution of projects
- Documenting design requirements and design decisions
- Reviewing of technical documentation (TPD)

Hard Skills:

- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.




- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in project management and technical documentation.
- Planning and creating work breakdowns of projects

- 3-5 years of experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills and experience in mentoring junior engineers.

- Experienced in design for manufacturing

3.3 Level 3 (Senior Electromechanical Engineer) Design: All tasks of level 2 plus:

- Design of technical architecture for recent projects
- Diagnosis and solving technical problems
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
- Implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and performance.

Documentation And Collaboration:

- Documentation of architectural designs and decisions
- Technical support of designers
- Planning and creating work breakdowns of complex projects

Hard Skills:

- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in project management and technical documentation.
- Capable in tolerance train analysis
- Creation of CE compliant design and documentation

- 6+ years of experience
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering high-quality electromechanical solutions.

- Followed and completed multiple development cycles
